Founded in 1992, the Minnesota Chapter of the German American
Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACCoM) represents German and
American companies and individuals in Minnesota committed to promoting
German-American business and trade.
The mission of the Minnesota Chapter of the GACCoM is to provide business networking and educational opportunities for our local members who are interested in and committed to German-American business relations. In addition, membership in the Minnesota Chapter affords direct access to the services and other benefits offered by the GACCoM in Chicago. To find out more about our members and the benefits of membership, go to the Membership pages.
The Minnesota Chapter of the GACCoM is a not-for-profit, membership-based
organization, incorporated under the laws of the state of Minnesota.
A Board of Directors, elected
from among our members, oversees and directs the business of the
Minnesota Chapter. An Executive Director
is responsible for day-to-day business operations and administration.
Through
our affiliation with the German American
Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest with seat in Chicago, we not
only belong to one of three regional Chambers in the United States
with over 1,800 member companies nationwide, we are also part of
the worldwide network of German Chambers Abroad (AHK), with representation
in over 80 countries. To learn more about this global network,
visit the AHK Website.
Through the GACCoM office in
Chicago, our members can also connect with the over 3 million companies
represented by the German Association
of Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHT) in Germany. If that
seems overwhelming, one of the services provided by the Chicago
office is finding the right German business partner or customer
for our U.S. member companies. For more information, visit the Website of the GACCoM.
